Thanks for all of the generous basket donations! You are all so wonderfully magnaimous (liking the 50-cent word, aren't you?). I received a few items after I made the basket (and wrapped it in basket wrap :( There is tea, honey, and a Merry Christmas mug. I'll present 3 alternatives and whoever donated those items can LMK what you want me to do.
1. Return the items to donator.
2. Donate to teachers' lounge at HTRS.
3. Place in separate bag & include w/ the Santa Breakfast basket.
We will collect $10 from each family for a group teacher Christmas gift. I sent a survey to Miss W. and she said she mostly likes/ buys stuff for her house. I was thinking (there are 17 participating families) to get a $150 Lowes or HomeGoods gift card and buy a cute little tool box or organizing basket to put it in. If anyone has a different idea, I'm welcome to suggestions. Please send $10 to AnneMarie Mann c/o James by December 16th.
Finally, the class Christmas party will be on December 18th. Miss W. wants to do a Pollyanna with the kids. We will have snacks and a craft (that I really think you'll like this year :) I had 3 alternatives planned, so we may do two, it's up to Miss W. I'll get back to you about snacks when Miss W. confirms what she wants. I'm thinking Red Gatorade, green grapes, and maybe a nice cookie platter?!?
Ms. Tedesky told the teachers that 12/18 was the date for all parties, but Miss W. said she will have a movie and some light snacks on their last day before Christmas break.
