Valentine Class List & Info

 

Dear Family,

 Second grade will have a St. Valentine’s Day party on Thursday. Mrs. Walters said the party will be @ 10:00 A.M. and that no parents are needed. So far, we have:

juice boxes

cookies, paper goods, craft, Goldfish

goody bags and/ or snack

* I don’t think we need anything else, but LMK if you think so. Also, thank you so much to the other parents who offered to send in supplies or help out! I know that I’m repetitive, but our class really is great with participation, helping, etc!

A lettter with names for Valentine's will come home Monday and I also sent to everyone's e-mail. I thought twice about publishing the children's names online. Maybe too cautious, but.... If you do not get the list, please e-mail me.

 

 

 

Valentine's Day

Hi Parents,
As far as I know the St.Valentine's Day party will be on Thursday, February 14th. As you all know, Mrs. Howdershell is out due to her husband's grave illness and there is no word as to when she will return. I have not met or communicated with the substitute, Mrs. Swayne, yet but Mrs. Walters encouraged us helping for the party. I have cookies, snacks, paper goods, and a craft. If anybody wants to send juice boxes or something else, please let me know.

Pre-K to 4th grade Dance- Jan. 19th 6-8 P.M.

 

2nd Grade has been asked to send cookies to school by Thursday, Jan. 17th for the dance.

Christmas Party Thursday 12/20

Hello All
Thanks AGAIN for your timely response. I guess I forgot to put the date of the party (that might help- ha ha). It is on Thursday because of the trip to the theater on Friday. Mrs. Howdershell said she did not know what time, she would have to "fit it in". I hope everybody is OK w/ the amounts. I know some think it should be more and some people feel like they are always giving money for something and it never ends (hello Catholic School, right?) Anyway, Mrs. Walters will be getting a $50 gift card and Mrs. H ($5 x amount of contributions) for Barnes& Noble.She said no cupcakes, so far we have:

• juice boxes, paper goods, craft- James Mann
• cookies- Sophia Granieri
• indiv bags of snacks- Shannon Summers
• chips- Carolyn Carnovsky

If you think we need anything else, LMK.

Christmas Party

Thanks for the responses! You are the best! I hope evrybody is OK with the plan of $5 per student to purchase a gift card for Mrs. Howdershell and $50 for Mrs. Walters. I am thinking Barnes&Noble for Mrs. H as she filled out a get-to-know-your-teacher form in the beginning of the year and indicated that reading is her favorite past time, she has no favorite restaurants, and doesn't need anything for the classroom. If anyone has an idea for Mrs. Walters, LMK, if not maybe a Visa g.c.

I'm sending a craft in, cookies, and juice boxes. Mrs. H said the children could also have Dorito's (messy in my opinion even though my kids love them), popcorn and/or chips Did anybody want to send in anything? She also wrote-  no cupcakes underline c:o Mrs. H (thanks anyway, Kelley :)

Christmas is Coming!

I wrote a note asking Mrs. H how she wants to handle the Christmas party. I will let you know when I hear from her. Most parents wanted to do a group gift for the teacher. We have money left over from the Thanksgiving Breakfast, so any materials needed for party should be covered. If we do not need the $ for party, etc, would you like to contribute $3 to group gift & add that to it? If we do need to use the $, does $5 per student seem appropriate? LMK your thoughts- if you feel we should give more, it's fine by me, but I know this time of year is tough, esp. w/ family's w/ more than one student, etc.

Once again, THANK YOU to everybody who helped & contributed to the Thanksgiving Breakfast! I know this sounds so South Jersey, but "you guys are awesome!"
